Chi Sigma Phi Sorority was founded at California State University, Fullerton on March 27, 2000 by four Founding Mothers: Ms. Linda Ko, Ms. Tu-Trinh Nguyen, Ms. Monique Dao, and Ms. Ami Chen. Together, they set a standard for the growth of excellence and created a tradition of continual growth.
We encourage our sisters to establish a strong bond with one another, engage in social interaction, cultivate a lifestyle of community service, expand their cultural awareness, and work toward individual aspirations while maintaining scholastic proficiency. As one sisterhood; we represent a unique opportunity to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will fuel cherished memories and build lasting relationships.
Recognized as CSU Fullerton's first and only Asian-American interest sorority, Chi Sigma Phi has rapidly established their presence within the Asian Greek System. Now, over our 10 year history, we have successfully formed and maintained strong bonds with various fraternities and sororities throughout Southern California and we continue to build our ties with various Greek organizations.
We are one of the founding chapters of CSU Fullerton's Multicultural Greek Council (MCGC) and support all local cultural Greeks in establishing their positive influence within the community.
We strive to uphold the tradition captured within the words of our motto: Reflect. Refine. Respect.
In the fall quarter of 2008, under the presidency of Ms. Eileen Jaurigue, Chi Sigma Phi Sorority expanded to California State University, Los Angeles. Under the Founding Class of Ms. Jennifer Her, Beta Colony was established on January 23, 2009. After two years of hard work and dedication, we received our charter as Beta Chapter on September 23, 2010.
